I must admit that I have been ashamed of our "FeatureBrowser" demo for a long time. It is just sad - the toolkit is really really feature rich and nice and all, but there is no decent demos to show that. Some time ago we decided to change that and re-designed the "feature browser" demo from ground up with the following goals in mind:
- It should demonstrate most of the visible features
- Each feature demo should demonstrate just one feature at time
- It should be the most impressive RIA toolkit feature browser in the world
- Each feature should also be a learning experience - with real source code, documentation links and all
The re-design project lead by Marc is nearing its 1.0 status. The first goal of demoing the most of the features will probably not be met anytime soon (as there are just so many features). Even thought the demo still has some bugs, it looks really promising. Actually we packaged the preview of the demo into 5.3.0 RC10 even though it is not promoted on the packages demo index.
